The New Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence through our UK Stockist model. This role focuses on building partner relationships, generating leads, and converting prospects into long-term clients, while ensuring alignment with business objectives
CUSTOMER / STRATEGY / PLAN
- Achieve profitable sales growth and exceed budget targets.
- Identify decision makers within each customer/prospect account and develop strategic business-to-business relationships.
- Gain a clear understanding of customers’ business needs and requirements.
- Present products and solutions in a structured and professional manner.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals in line with prospecting and pipeline work.
- Provide local technical advisory support and be recognized as a resource to the customer base.
- Prepare thoroughly for customer meetings, utilising internal and external market and customer insights.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
- Close deals and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Be an ambassador for the brand you represent.
PEOPLE / LEADERSHIP
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal sales support functions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new clients during the initial engagement phase.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver on client expectations.
- Support a culture of openness and shared ownership
FINANCIAL / COMMERCIALS
- Monitor and self-assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective action as needed, in line with agreed objectives
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities.
- Report on KPIs such as lead conversion rates, revenue growth, and pipeline health.
- Use data to refine strategies and improve performance.
ESSENTIAL
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ideally proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
